Hannah Maruyama is a Honolulu based semi-permanent makeup artist, author, and entrepreneur. She worked in multiple industries, holding jobs as a deckhand, reporter, waitress, non-profit fundraiser, and commissioned artist before finding her true calling creating artwork on people. The diverse island of Oahu provides constant inspiration and learning opportunities in new and rising beauty science developments from Japan and Korea, and these trends have a dominant influence in her work. She loves to spend hours researching new beauty tech gadgets and products and trying DIY beauty treatments at home and then share her experiences with others in writing: Before the Blade: What You Need to Know Before Getting Microblading or Semi Permanent Makeup.
