Karye Brockert is committed to creating a world where individuals with disabilities experience happiness, safety, and unwavering support.
Karye Brockert is a lifelong Arkansan from Bismarck, Arkansas, and an advocate for students with special needs. Her teaching journey began at Bismarck School District after earning an Early Childhood degree from Henderson State University. Over the years, Karye taught kindergarten and first grade, becoming a model classroom for the Reading First program.
A transformative moment came when her daughter Madison was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, inspiring Karye to focus on teaching students with disabilities. She then joined Bryant School District as a special educator and later became a private consultant for special education programs statewide.
In 2018, Karye became the director of EasterSeals Academy, a private K-12 school in Little Rock for students with special needs, which has since seen significant growth. She holds two master's degrees from Henderson State University in Advanced Instructional Studies and Special Education.
As an adjunct professor, Karye taught classes for therapists and educators, and conducted various special education training sessions for parents, educators, and administrators. She is dedicated to advocating for individuals with disabilities and have spoken at state congressional hearings.
