Laurel Colless

Australian-New Zealand award-winning children’s author Laurel Colless is a literary-comparatist by education, but spent 25 years working in sustainable business and journalism in Asia, the US and Europe, before coming back to writing. She is the founder of the Carbon Busters Club, a kids’ climate-science program that combines storytelling with science education. In 2013, Laurel Colless became an Al Gore Climate Reality Leader. Through storytelling Laurel Colless wants to entertain children with page-turning thrillers while empowering them to take the lead on big world problems like climate change, extreme weather, and plastic pollution.
