Honors for Carol Fisher Saller’s children’s books include Kirkus Best, Bank Street Best, NCSS/CBC Notables, the Carl Sandburg Award for Children’s Literature, and Chicago Public Library’s Best Teen Fiction. Her new middle-grade mystery, Maddie’s Ghost, received the 2024 Midland Authors Award for Children’s Fiction.

A professional manuscript editor for many years, Carol is also author of the niche classic The Subversive Copy Editor and is a contributing editor to The Chicago Manual of Style. She lives in Chicago.
