She and her husband homeschooled their five sons in rural Colorado for nineteen years. She has served in various home education leadership positions at the local and state level and holds advanced degrees in elementary education & music education.

A columnist for two major home education magazines, she also speaks nationally and internationally. Her books include Activity Days for Homeschool Groups and Families; Talent to Treasure: Building a Profitable Music Teaching Business; and Homemade Convenience Foods. Her newest book, You Can Teach Your Child Music (Even If You Can’t Read a Note), will be released Dec. 15.

Lynette raised eight children, (six adopted, five disabled, four on the autism spectrum). Only one retains his label and remains dependent. Born in Canada, Lynette moved to America in 1995. An expert in Autism, and on how to incorporate neurofeedback (biofeedback for the brain) as the main therapy approach for the autistic child, Lynette travels internationally performing and speaking on the subject.
