#WoMRadio’s Matinee Monday presents Julia Genoveva of G Squared Productions

G Squared Productions will present it’s second “An Evening With Julia and Friends” – a reading of five original plays this Saturday May 19th at 7:00pm at 353 Studios, 2nd floor 353 W 48th St, New York, NY 10036 Admission: $10 (Cash at the door only).

This interesting evening was born from the Writer’s Workshop Julia began earlier this year, which proved that there are lots of independent playwrights in New York City with plays that are ready to be heard by an audience.  New this time, the evening will end with a live stand-up comedian – Rhett Sever!

The plays to be presented:

“Is Anyone Sitting There?” by John C. Davenport ~ A writer needs inspiration, but sometimes this “inspiration” doesn’t know how to keep his mouth shut!

“The Crossroad” by Julia Genoveva ~ Andrea is stuck between the life she is living now, and the life she wishes she had.  All odds are against her, until a mysterious stranger intervenes.

“Dog Therapy” by Robin Reesen ~ A monologue that will teach us a thing or two about life…and dogs.

“Hangman (Don’t Forget To Tip Your Local Terrorist” by Deborah A. Vines ~ Wedded bliss, the movies, and two people that don’t belong?

“Family Business” by Julia Genoveva ~ Death is an every day occurrence for three sisters that own a funeral home, until Angel makes them feel alive again.

Julia Genoveva was born in Ecuador and  grew up in the Bronx.   She has acted in numerous plays, films and  commercials throughout NYC. She also has a passion for writing, producing, and directing. She has  produced several of her original plays under what was, Genoveva Productions  L.L.C:  “Family Business” “Jade’s Secret” & “The Crossroad”, directed by Gus Ferrari (Semi-Finalist in the Strawberry Festival). And Recently, cabaret-variety troupe, “Vaudevillage” which has performed at The Stonewall Inn and Cornelia Street Cafe. Being an artist is part of Julia’s roots as her grandfather, Sigifredo Salas was a  well-known director and filmaker in Peru during 1936-1940.
