Just Buy It!

Get Productive and PAY For The Tools, Equipment And Help You Need

So many MOMpreneurs run their businesses like their first lemonade stand.. Picture the rickety, dinged up card table set up on the sidewalk, handmade signs, huge cups for a quarter… Although an awesome slice of Americana – I’m pretty sure most parents didn’t require their kids to pay for their cost of materials prior to launching.

Since this was many a young girls’ venture into entrepreneurship, it just may be a mindset that is still running your business decisions all these years later.

So I have one question for you:

  • Do you make excuses for not having the tools, supplies and basics you need to run your business effectively and efficiently?

If so, it’s time to step up and legitimize your business!

Instead of borrowing supplies and resources (like supplies from your mom’s kitchen) to run your business, take a few critical steps to set yourself up for success.

  • List everything you would LOVE to have to be successful and assign a projected cost to each item (for instance, you might really want a high end webinar service, but COULD use a lower cost service in the interim until you build your webinar following.)
  • Write out a budget and be realistic about what you need to succeed.

Most of my clients (and especially those who are moms) struggle MOST with justifying the costs to set up the equipment and support structures they need to succeed.

Bottom line – If you need a computer and printer that work and don’t have those two items you absolutely must BUY the right tool for the job. If you need a headset to manage your coaching calls effectively… BUY one.

Purchasing your back office systems and tools are one of the biggest hurdles you’ll need to jump when launching, juggling and effectively creating a sustainable, fulfilling and profitable businesses!
