Mindful Healthy Habits with Traci & Ellen – Anxiety & Depression I – #WoMRadio

Co-hosts Traci Timmons and Dr. Ellen Ferranti explore Anxiety and Depression.  With recent celebrity suicides, the despair and isolation prevalent in today’s world, and personal experiences, Traci’s own in addition to family and friends, we find it imperative to share as much information as we can to help those affected, and to end the stigma surrounding mental illess helping others to open up and get the help they need.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, as quoted on the site for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America:  40 million adults in the US aged 18 or older (18.1% of the population) suffer from anxiety disorders.  Most are easily treatable YET only 36.9% of these people receive treatment. Nearly half of those diagnosed with depression also have an anxiety disorder.
